Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo has revealed that Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho told him there is no place for him in the first team of the Blues for the 2014/15 season.
On Sunday, Omeruo announced his return on loan to English Championship club, Middlesbrough, ahead of the new season. And the former ADO Den Haag man has now revealed that the decision was reached after a chat with Mourinho and the club’s technical director, Michael Emenalo.
“I had a chat with Michael Emenalo and after hearing the plans Chelsea had for me next season, I think the best place for me to achieve this goal is to go back to Middlesbrough,” he told supersport.com.
“I want to thank Chelsea and according to Mourinho, Middlesbrough is the best place for me to gain enough experience and play a lot of games. I made a decision after hearing from Mourinho and Emenalo, and I am happy with my decision.”

“I have already established myself at Middlesbrough. The fans love me and the manager as well. Hopefully, I will get to play every game (for the club).
“We will try to push the team towards promotion,” he said.
