Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has been named Barclays Premier League (BPL) manager of the season, with Eden Hazard picking up the player’s award.
Mourinho led Chelsea to their first BPL title in five years, as well as the Capital One Cup.
The 52-year-old, who is in his second spell with the Blues, beat fellow nominees Ronald Koeman, Garry Monk, Nigel Pearson and Arsene Wenger to the gong despite not winning a single manager of the month award during the season.
The Portuguese has now won the award a third time after he was also recognised after Chelsea’s league wins in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 campaigns.

Eden Hazard made it a double for the Stamford Bridge side, as he was crowned Barclays Premier League player of the season, making a treble of individual awards for the Belgian after he was earlier named Professional Footballers’ Association and Football Writers’ Association player of the year.
Hazard beat team-mates John Terry, Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic, as well as Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez to the BPL award.
