Musa benched, Ndidi shines as Leicester draw with Palace

Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, was impressive for Leicester City in the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Ndidi, yet again, put in a good shift in the middle of the park while his compatriot, Ahmed Musa, was benched for the game.

Leicester were in complete control of the match following goals from Robert Huth and Jamie Vardy, but two second half goals from Yohan Cabaye and Christian Benteke helped Crystal Palace salvage a draw to pull further away from the bottom three.

Huth connected with Christian Fuchs’ long throw into the Palace box to put Leicester ahead in the 6th minute.

Vardy made the best of a Leicester counter-attack to extend his side’s lead in the 52nd minute.

Cabaye got Palace back into the game when he shot low and hard from close range after Schlupp’s shot was deflected to him in the 54th minute.

Andros Townsend sent in a cross through to Benteke who headed in Crystal Palace’s equaliser in the 70th minute.
