Musa on Russia player of the week award: Hard work pays

Ahmed Musa, CSKA Moscow and Super Eagles striker, says he is very happy to have won the Russian league player of the week award, and has attributed the feat to hard work.

Musa, who defeated Maciej Rybus of Terek Grozny and Stanislav Kritsyuk of FC Krasnodar to win the award, told TheCable: “It is just all about hard work. Hard work pays.”

The two-time Russian league cup winner recalled that he did not win the first time he was nominated, but he kept on working hard.

“I did not win it the first time, but I never allowed that to disturb me,” he said.
