My administration won’t be distracted by unnecessary criticisms, says Kebbi governor

Nasir Idris, governor of Kebbi, says his administration will not be distracted by unnecessary criticisms.

Idris spoke on Wednesday after he received members of the coordinators of Kauran Gwandu, a political group, at the government house.

The governor said he is not owing workers’ salaries, pensions, gratuities or death benefits.

He added that his administration  is committed to the execution of quality and durable projects in the state.

“Our detractors have thought that we will fail and that we will not deliver on the desired projects,” NAN quoted Idris as saying.

“But we have so far shamed them by trying our possible best in the provision of basic infrastructure for the people of the state.

“We will sustain this happy trajectory and we will continue to carry the people while administering the state.”

On his part, Musa Tungulawa, chairman of the group, said the purpose of the visit was to congratulate the governor on his victory in court.

“We are here to rejoice with the governor on the series of victories at the courts as regards to the 2023 poll,” Tungulawa said.
