President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with Maryam Abacha, the former first lady, and her family over the death of Abdullahi, her son.
Abdullahi reportedly passed away on Saturday.
In a statement by Garba Shehu, presidential spokesperson, Buhari prayed for comfort for the mourners.
“The President’s prayers and thoughts are with the family of Abacha as they grieve the passing of the young Abdullahi,” the statement reads.

“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the deceased and comfort for those who mourn.”
Gumsu Sani Abacha, Abdullahi’s sister, announced his death via a tweet on Saturday.

Gumi disclosed that her younger brother died in his sleep.
She said Abdullahi died in the early hours of the day.

Abdullahi is expected to be buried at the Gudu Cemetary in Abuja.
