The National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) has announced plans to digitise its examination processes for efficiency.
Mohammed Aminu, newly appointed registrar/chief executive officer of the board, spoke of digitisation plans while addressing staff at NABTEB’s headquarters in Benin City on Thursday.
He said the board looks to accelerate the digitalisation of its examination processes, from registration to result processing.
Aminu said the process is to enhance certificate issuance and reduce errors.

The new registrar added that computer-based testing (CBT) would be expanded, transitioning more subjects to digital platforms in response to global trends and rising digital literacy among candidates.
He said NABTEB would deploy biometric verification, encrypted question papers, and real-time monitoring systems to prevent malpractice.
Aminu stressed that these initiatives would strengthen public confidence in NABTEB certificates while improving the technical and security aspects of examinations.

“NABTEB will further engage schools, technical institutions, government agencies, and industry partners to tackle challenges and drive systemic improvements,” Aminu said.
