Abdullahi Sule, governor of Nasarawa, says he has dissolved the state executive council.
Sule announced the dissolution on Monday, during the state executive council meeting held at the government house in Lafia, the Nasarawa capital.
The commissioners were appointed into various offices by the governor on November 1, 2019.
Speaking during the meeting, the governor announced that his special advisers and senior special assistants have also been relieved of their appointments.

He explained that the dissolution of appointments does not affect members in charge of humanitarian services and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The governor did not state the reason for the dissolution but thanked the former commissioners and aides for their contributions and sacrifices to the state.
He added that the administration would, in the future, count on their support.

Speaking on behalf of the dissolved appointees, Abdullkarim Abubakar, former commissioner for justice, expressed appreciation to the governor for the privilege to serve the state.
Abubakar added that the officials will continue to support the governor.
