The national assembly management on Tuesday announced September 20 as the date of resumption of the senate and house of representatives.
The national assembly, which had gone on a six-week break from July 21, was to resume on September 13.
But Sani Omolori, clerk of the national assembly, issued a statement on Tuesday to say all legislators will now resume sitting on the rescheduled date.
“This is to inform all distinguished senators and honorable members of the national assembly that resumption date of both Houses in plenary has been rescheduled from September 13 to September 20, 2016,” the statement by Omolori read.

“All distinguished senators and honorable members are by this notice, requested to resume sitting in plenary on Tuesday.”
By this announcement, the break was extended by another week.
