The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced the possible closure of the Ibadan Airport for six months for maintenance and upgrades.
In a post on X on Friday, Michael Achimugu, director of public affairs and consumer protection at NCAA, said the closure is expected to begin in March.
“Subject to new information, Ibadan airport may be shut down for six months for maintenance/upgrade, starting from early March,” Achimugu said.
On June 27, 2024, Seyi Makinde, Oyo state governor, said President Bola Tinubu approved the upgrade of Ibadan airport to international standard.
