Ndidi helps Leicester defeat West Brom

Wilfred Ndidi contributed significantly to Leicester City’s 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

The Nigerian midfielder continued his remarkable form in the middle of the park from the first sound of the whistle.

He had a shot deflected off target in the 6th minute. He would have more of such chances but they were either deflected or stopped by Ben Forster.

It was not the most entertaining of games for both teams but it was the Foxes who went into the break with a one-goal lead from a mistake by Allan Nyom.

Although the reigning champions struggled up front, it took only one chance for Jamie Vardy to fire them into the lead.

The Englishman made the best of a cross from Shinji Okazaki to score the only goal of the match in the 43rd minute.

Leicester City now sit eleventh on the English Premier League table with 40 points from 34 games.
