Leicester City won the English Championship title following a 3-0 victory at Preston North End on Monday night.
The Foxes were led to the resounding victory, and title by Jamie Vardy’s brace, with Kasey McAteer adding the third on a night of crowning glory for Enzo Maresca’s side.
Leicester were on Friday confirmed as one of the two clubs to gain automatic promotion to the English Premier League.
The latest championship title is the club’s eighth in the second tier of English football, a record for any club in the country.

Vardy, in his 12th year at Leicester, scored once in each half to put his side in a commanding lead before McAteer’s header sealed their 31st win of the season.
Wilfred Ndidi, Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder, played 70 minutes of the encounter at Deepdale, while Kelechi Iheanacho was conspicuously absent from the substitutes.
Both will claim the winners’ medals as Leicester City will be presented with the Football League trophy at their final league match of the season at King Power stadium.
