Ndidi scores stunning goal as Leicester defeat Stoke

Wilfred Ndidi scored a screamer to put Leicester on the path to a 2-0 victory over Stoke City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The Nigerian midfielder got the English Premier League champions ahead with his first league goal for the club when he picked up a pass from Danny Drinkwater and unleashed a wonder shot into the top right-hand corner in the 25th minute.

Although Stoke threatened here and there, Leicester controlled the game enough to go into the break a goal ahead.

The hosts doubled their advantage in the 47th minute through a venomous finish from Jamie Vardy, who made excellent use of Danny Simpson’s cross.

The Foxes continue a good run which has helped them climb out of the relegation zone since Craig Shakespeare took over from sacked Claudio Ranieri.
