Ndidi stars as Appleton wins first game in charge of Leicester

Caretaker manager Michael Appleton started his tenure with a valuable three points as Leicester City defeated Swansea City 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Leicester City moved out of the relegation zone after picking up a second win of the season and the first away from home.

The Foxes went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Marc Albrighton, and Jamie Vardy all had their efforts at goal saved by Lukasz Fabianski, before Federico Fernandez headed into the back of his own net after superb work from Riyad Mahrez out wide.
