NDLEA arrests man over ‘possession of 1.5kg cannabis’ in Osun

The Osun command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has arrested a 65-year-old man, identified as Dauda Lamidi, over possession of 1.550kg cannabis sativa also known as hemp.

In a statement on Monday, Charles Odigie, the command’s spokesperson, said the suspect was arrested along the Ibadan-Iwo expressway.

Odigie added that the suspect stored the substance inside a two-litre gallon of engine oil.

According to him, Lamidi was convicted for same offence in 2019, and was incarcerated for three years.
