Xiaomi, a Chinese multinational electronics company, has unveiled a 200 watt (W) wired charging technology which promises to charge a 4,000 milliampere-hour (mAh) battery to 50 percent capacity in only three minutes.
The company took to Twitter on Monday to announce its latest invention, noting that it is “about to redefine the charging experience.”
In a video, Xiaomi demonstrated that it would take just 44 seconds for a 4,000mAh battery, using its 200W wired charger, to charge to 10 percent, progressing to 50% in three minutes, and fully-charged in eight minutes.

It also introduced customers to its new 120W wireless charging that claims to charge a 4,000mAh battery to 10 percent in merely a minute, 50 percent in seven minutes, and 100 percent in 15 minutes.
However, it is worthy to note that the new technologies are not yet available for commercial release.
