Newspaper Headlines: 2,140 Nigerians kidnapped in seven months as insecurity worsens

Reactions to the seizure of presidential jets over a contract dispute continue to dominate the frontpages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that two former governors of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun and Gbenga Daniel, said they will support the federal government’s efforts to recover the national assets seized by a French court. The newspaper says Ralph Okey-Nwosu, national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said some governors have turned themselves into imperial majesties.
