Newspaper Headlines: 27 states, FCT yet to set up minimum wage panels

Reports on the end of the 10-day #EndBadGovernance protest suffuse the frontpages of the dailies.

The Punch reports that the one million-man march planned by leaders of the #EndBadGovernance protest recorded a low turnout on Saturday across the country. The newspaper says 27 states and the federal capital territory (FCT) are yet to set up committees to implement the recently approved N70,000 minimum wage.
THISDAY reports that Hasan Abubakar, chief of air staff, said the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and other sister agencies are duty-bound to defend democracy in the country. The newspaper says Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, has warned against any deliberate attempts to delay the progress of the Dangote Refinery.
Vanguard reports that there is confusion over the 740 truckloads of rice the federal government promised to deliver to the 36 states of the federation and FCT, as some states claimed they have not received theirs. The newspaper says leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have rejected the police explanation for the Wednesday night raid on the Labour House in Abuja.
Nigerian Tribune reports that Tony Elumelu, founder and chairman of Heirs Energies, said the government and security agents should be able to reveal those who steal crude oil. The newspaper says the #EndBadGovernance protest rounded off in many parts of the country.
