Newspaper Headlines: Anti-APC alliance seeks Obasanjo, Gowon backing for 2027 presidency

The dailies report that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called for a dialogue with the federal government in a bid to clear grey areas in the tax reform bills.

Punch reports that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has been accused by the auditor-general of the federation of diverting N2.68 trillion and $9.77 million in the last four years. The newspaper says an anti-All Progressives Congress (APC) alliance is seeking Obasanjo and Gowon’s backing ahead of the 2027 presidential poll.
