Sunday Punch reports that Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto, has imposed a 24-hour curfew in the state over the violent protest that trailed the arrest of suspects in the murder of Deborah Emmanuel, a female student. The newspaper says that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has thrown its presidential ticket open over the fear that former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar may become the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
