The political permutations of the February 26 national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) appeared on the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that the APC may zone its chairmanship seat to the north-central. Senate President Ahmad Lawan said the national assembly will forward the amended electoral bill to President Muhammadu Buhari this week, the newspaper says.
The Nation says APC governors foiled the plan to postpone the party’s national convention. The newspaper reports that a coalition named National Coalition for Goodluck Jonathan (NACOJO) has commenced mobilisation for the former president on 2023 presidency.
Daily Independent reports that the sit-at-home order issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) grounded activities in the south-east region of the country. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has blamed the delay in the release of the timetable for the 2023 election on the non-passage of the electoral act amendment bill, the newspaper says.
Daily Trust reports that the senate president said Buhari did not order a removal of petrol subsidy. The newspaper says the senate has moved to regulate house rent in Abuja.
The Guardian says commercial motorists in Lagos will pay N800 daily levy to the state government besides transport union dues. The newspaper reports that only six of Nigeria’s offshore rigs are operational.
