Newspaper Headlines: Atiku asks tribunal to uphold INEC’s admission that he won in 21 states

Reports of the hike in the prices of goods and services, including school fees, dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch says some educational institutions have announced an increase in tuition, in order to adjust to the removal of petrol subsidy. The newspaper reports that there are indications that either Gboyega Oyetola, former Osun governor, or Ajibola Basiru, former spokesperson of the senate, may replace Iyiola Omisore as the national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Nation reports that President Bola Tinubu has promised to deploy state power to tackle rising insecurity in the country. The newspaper says a London court has ordered that the sum of £101.5 million (about $130 million) be confiscated from James Ibori, former Delta state governor.
THISDAY reports that Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has asked the election tribunal to uphold the admittance of INEC that he won 21 states in the February 25 poll. The newspaper says Stella Oduah, former minister of aviation, has been arraigned before a federal high court in Abuja on charges of alleged fraud.
The Guardian reports that Mahmood Yakubu, chairperson of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said the concerns raised by Nigerians on result management during the 2023 elections will be addressed. The newspaper says the Police Service Commission (PSC) has dismissed three senior officers over misconduct.
