Newspaper Headlines: Cash scarcity persists as banks shun CBN threat

Reports on naira notes scarcity and the high prices of food and other items ahead of the yuletide celebration dominate the frontpages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that the scarcity of naira notes persists in many parts of the country despite the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) ordering commercial banks to load their automated teller machines with cash. The newspaper says the federal government has fixed February 2025 for the national youth conference.
