Newspaper Headlines: Dangote begins petrol export to West African countries

President Bola Tinubu’s letter to the national assembly for approval of a fresh N1.7 trillion loan permeates the frontpages. 

The Punch says an audit carried out by the office of the attorney-general of the federation has uncovered financial irregularities totalling over N4.64bn in the ministry of works, raising concerns about systemic non-compliance with financial regulations and procurement laws. The newspaper reports that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has begun exporting petrol to some West African nations. 
Daily Trust reports that Muhammad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto, says traditional leaders are not afraid of governors, adding that monarchs only respect the authority of the office of the elected officer. The newspaper says 13 months after Tinubu recalled all ambassadors, he is yet to appoint new ones.

Nigerian Tribune says 25 people have died and 15 others have been hospitalised from a cholera outbreak in Sokoto. The newspaper reports that Nyesom Wike has approved a minimum wage of N70,000 for civil servants in the federal capital territory (FCT).
