Newspaper Headlines: Death toll from Kaduna bombing hits 120

Reactions to the bombing of civilians at Tundun Biri in Kaduna by the Nigerian Army, continue to make the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that survivors of the accidental bombing of Tudun Biri in the Igabi LGA of Kaduna state, said they were bombed twice by the Nigerian army. The newspaper says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo said cabals have hijacked the administration of Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of the state.
The Nation reports that the Nigerian army has apologised for its error in bombing worshippers in Kaduna state on Sunday night. The newspaper says the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has blamed the recent cash crunch on huge withdrawals.
Daily Trust reports that community and religious leaders from the northern part of the country have frowned at Sunday’s killing of over 90 villagers by military drones at Tudun Biri in Igabi LGA of Kaduna state. The newspaper says a state high court in Potiskum, Yobe state, has sentenced John Gabriel and Adamu Gideon, two soldiers, to death for the murder of Goni Aisami, an Islamic cleric.
The Guardian reports that majority of states are in huge debts despite getting about N15.8 trillion from the federation account allocation committee (FAAC) in less than four years. The newspaper says Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo, has presented a budget of over N434.2 billion to the state house of assembly for the 2024 fiscal year.
THISDAY reports that Wale Edun, minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy, said the country is targeting multi-trillion-dollar climate change financing. The newspaper says Christopher Musa, chief of defence staff, has apologised for the bombing of civilians at Tundun Biri.
