Newspaper Headlines: Death toll from Plateau killings hits 52 as more corpses are recovered

The killings in Bokkos LGA of Plateau state permeate the frontpages. 

The Punch reports that some former domestic workers of ex-first lady Patience Jonathan, who are being held in the Okaka Custodial Centre, Bayelsa state, over alleged theft of jewellery and television sets, have decried their alleged maltreatment and delayed trial. The newspaper says a bomb explosion on Taiwo street, Idi-Araba in the Mushin LGA of Lagos state, was triggered by a scavenger.
THISDAY reports that the death toll from the attacks launched on some communities in Bokkos LGA of Plateau state on Wednesday has risen to 52. The newspaper reports that Nenadi Usman, the chairman of the Labour Party (LP) caretaker committee, and Julius Abure, the party’s national chairman, are laying claims to victory over the supreme court judgment.
Daily Trust reports that the green areas in Abuja, the country’s capital, are disappearing gradually.
