Newspaper Headlines: DisCos get January 1 deadline to end meter upgrade

The Punch reports that President Bola Tinubu has directed the ministry of justice to work closely with the national assembly to address concerns raised by Nigerians over the tax reform bills. The newspaper says the house of representatives has ordered the suspension of the reported ongoing mass retirement of staff at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Daily Trust reports that northern senators have called for the suspension of further legislative action on the controversial tax bills. The newspaper says South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has cancelled passport submissions for Nigerians during tourist visa applications.
