Newspaper Headlines: Families of Zamfara air strike victims demand compensation

The position of the governors on the tax reform bills permeates the frontpages. The spate of insecurity across the country also dominates the headlines. 

 

The Punch reports that Dangote Petroleum Refinery is planning to import more crude oil as supply from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited is insufficient for production. The newspaper says the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that 7,746 deceased voters were removed from the voter register in 36 states and the federal capital territory (FCT) as of December 2022.
Daily Trust reports that the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has proposed a new valued added tax (VAT) sharing formula in the tax reform bills. The newspaper says victims of the accidental air strike in Zamfara are asking for compensation.

The newspaper reports that hardship has forced some Nigerians to start looking for food in garbages to feed their families.
