Newspaper Headlines: Farmers predict worsening food crisis, blame subsidy removal, insecurity

The issue of the minimum wage is on the front burner of the national dailies as the federal government offers labour N62,000. 

Punch reports that farmers predicted a worsening food crisis and blamed petrol subsidy removal and insecurity for the increase in transport costs. The newspaper says the federal government spent N697 billion on revenue collection in 11 months.
The Nation reports that the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said Nigeria economy is expected to rise to at least $1.852 trillion in 2029. The newspaper says Bode George, chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said Nigerians should give President Bola Tinubu one more year to fulfill his campaign promises.
