Newspaper Headlines: FG compiles new ambassadors’ list

Reports on Saturday’s governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi states, dominate the cover page of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that over 5.1 million voters are expected to vote in the governorship elections in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi states. The newspaper says the federal government has begun compiling the list of new ambassadors.

 

The Nation reports that the Saudi Arabia government has promised to invest in Nigeria’s refineries and the reforms of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The newspaper says the court has restrained the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) from embarking on the November 14 strike.
THISDAY reports that the appeal court has affirmed the election of Peter Mbah as governor of Enugu. Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, said his administration has reengineered the state for growth.
