Newspaper Headlines: FG disconnects DisCos from national grid over debt

The decision of the senate to retroactively approve the N22.7 trillion spent by the federal government dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that economists and opposition parties have criticised President Muhammadu Buhari and the senate over the decision of the upper chamber to approve the N22.7 trillion extra-budgetary spending of the federal government. The newspaper says the national working committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed to take a decision on zoning the 10th national assembly leadership positions.
