Newspaper Headlines: FG insists on electricity subsidy amid tariff review

The Punch reports that organised labour has warned President Bola Tinubu’s administration not to fail to fulfil its promises to Nigerian workers in 2024. The newspaper says the federal government said it would continue to subsidise power supply for vulnerable citizens in Nigeria amid the ongoing review of a cost reflective tariff.
Daily Trust reports that Tinubu has signed the 2024 appropriation bill into law. The newspaper says Dangote Petroleum Refinery has received the fourth shipment of crude oil supplied by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).
The Nation says Tinubu has warned ministers and heads of agencies that those who will not aid effective implementation of the 2024 budget will be eased out.
