Newspaper Headlines: FG moves to securitise NLNG dividends for $7bn cash

The Punch reports that the supreme court has ended the 171-day legal tussle on the election of President Bola Tinubu with the rejection of the appeals filed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
The Nation reports that Lucky Aiyedatiwa, deputy governor of Ondo, has apologised to Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of the state, over the recent political happenings in the state. The newspaper says Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), said he has no regrets supporting Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.
Daily Trust reports that PDP and LP have rejected the verdict of the supreme court dismissing their appeals on the election of Tinubu.

THISDAY reports the federal government has concluded plans to securitise about $7 billion of Nigeria’s dividends from the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG). The newspaper says the senate has confirmed Musa Aliyu as the substantive chair of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
