Newspaper Headlines: FG spends N19bn on presidential planes in 15 months

Reports on the latest deal involving Dangote Petroleum Refinery and oil marketers suffuse the cover pages of the newspapers. 

Punch reports the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) as saying that an agreement for direct lifting of petrol and diesel has been reached with the Dangote refinery. Quoting GovSpend, a civic tech platform, the newspaper reports that at least N19.43 billion was spent on the maintenance and operations of the presidential air fleet from July 2023 to September 2024.

 

Daily Trust reports that the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) says its members spend over N238 billion on alternative energy sources due to power outages. The newspaper says Lassa Fever has killed 11 people in Benue.
