Newspaper Headlines: FG workers face gloomy Christmas over delayed December salaries

The Punch reports that traders across markets in Nigeria are lamenting poor patronage amid skyrocketing food prices, a sharp contrast to the festive sales experienced in previous years. The newspaper says over 14 Nigerians have been declared wanted by the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) for offences ranging from human trafficking, drug trafficking, robbery, cheating, and forgery, among others.
THISDAY reports that the first media chat of President Tinubu has continued to elicit divergent views. The newspaper says Apple is closing in on a historic $4 trillion stock market valuation, powered by investors cheering on progress in the company’s long-awaited Artificial Intelligence (AI) enhancements.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has initiated enforcement action against two international and three domestic operators for various violations of Part 19 of the NCAA regulations. The Guardian reports that the Apapa Port-Ibadan cargo freight service has moved just 7,369 containers by rail since it commenced operations 15 months ago. The newspaper says Douye Diri, governor of Bayelsa, said illegal oil bunkers are using children and women as human shields at illegal refining camps.
