Newspaper Headlines: Foreign terrorists planning to attack Abuja, immigration warns

The warning of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) that foreign terrorists are planning to attack Abuja, the country’s capital, dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

 

The Punch reports that NIS has warned of foreign terror attacks on Abuja during  yuletide. The newspaper says the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has kicked against the federal government’s advisory limiting religious gatherings to 50 percent.
Daily Independent says the federal executive council (FEC) has approved 16 power projects to address Nigeria’s epileptic power supply. President Muhammadu Buhari has said the country is in the final phase of the battle against terrorists, the newspaper reports.
