Newspaper Headlines: Fubara heads to s’court over verdict affirming pro-Wike lawmakers

Reports on the controversy trailing the recent petrol price hike dominate the frontpages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has threatened to cease operations nationwide following the high cost of petrol sold to marketers by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited. The newspaper says the court of appeal in Abuja on Thursday affirmed Martin Amaewhule as speaker of the Rivers state house of assembly — a verdict that has made Siminalayi Fubara, governor of the state, to head to the supreme court. 
Daily Trust reports that Vice-President Kashim Shettima has warned that every out-of-school child is a potential threat to Nigeria. The newspaper says the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) has expressed concern over the inflow of weapons from Libya.
