Newspaper Headlines: Governors hire consultants to break monopoly of DisCos

Petrol and gas tankers killed five and destroyed over 70 vehicles in Rivers and Ogun states, the dailies report.

Guardian reports that many were feared dead, and 70 vehicles were burnt after a petrol tanker exploded in Rivers. The newspaper said Nigerians have criticised Kayode Egbetokun, the inspector-general of police, over remarks that the NSCDC and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) should be merged with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
