The Punch reports that the organised private sector has blamed the worsening insecurity in the country for the food inflation which increased to 40.87 percent in June 2024, up from 25.25 percent in June 2023. The newspaper says the Kano high court has sacked Aminu Bayero, dethroned Emir of Kano, and four other emirs of the state.The Guardian reports that Nigeria is on the verge of a food crisis owing to the rising inflation in the country.
