Newspaper Headlines: Insecurity threatens November off-cycle polls, says INEC

Reports on Afenifere, a pan-Yoruba socio-political group, demanding that former president Olusegun Obasanjo apologises to Oyo monarchs for “ordering them around”, permeates the front pages of Nigerian dailies. 

The Punch says the Nigerian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) has stated in a report that repairs of oil pipelines gulped N35 billion in 18 months. The newspaper reports that one Tayelolu Solomon allegedly killed Felix, her husband, with a pestle and ran into hiding in Ondo.
