Newspaper Headlines: Lagos sets up committee to probe collapsed Ikoyi building

 The setting up of a panel to investigate the collapsed 21-storey building in Ikoyi by the Lagos state government appeared on the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Daily Independent says the governors elected on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform have agreed to throw the party’s presidential ticket open. The newspaper says telecommunications companies in Nigeria lost N20 billion revenue in one year.
The Nation says the Lagos state government has vowed to punish offenders involved in the construction of the collapsed 21-storey building in Ikoyi. The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has asked Nigerians, especially those in the north, to vote for competent and honest leaders in 2023, the newspaper reports.
