Newspaper Headlines: Many killed as gunmen attack Katsina communities

The Punch says Nigeria and China are collaborating on military training and arms production. The newspaper reports that the senate on Thursday interrogated Wale Edun, minister of finance, over how much the federal government has saved from the removal of petrol subsidy since June 2023.
Daily Trust reports that gunmen reportedly killed many persons in attacks on members of the Katsina state community watch corps and residents of various villages. The newspaper says Afenifere has asked south-west governors to address what it described as influx of bandits to the zone.
