Newspaper Headlines: Monitor LG funds to prevent diversion to governors, NULGE tells NFIU

Reactions to the judgment of the supreme court on LGA autonomy dominate the front pages of Nigerian newspapers

 The Punch reports that the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has urged the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) to track LGA funds and prevent diversion to state governors by council chairmen. The newspaper says 88 tertiary institutions conducted admissions outside of the central admissions processing system of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in the 2022/2023 session.
