Newspaper Headlines: NLC insists on protest over lingering ASUU strike

The clash between the federal government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that the NLC has rejected the two-week ultimatum issued by President Muhammadu Buhari to end the ongoing strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). The newspaper says bakers have halted bread production over rising costs.
