Newspaper Headlines: Obasanjo reprimands NNPCL, says invitation to inspect refineries disrespectful

The row between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) over the operations of refineries is the major issue on the front pages of Nigerian newspapers.

Punch reports that Kehinde Akinyemi, media aide to Obasanjo, says it is disrespectful for the NNPCL to invite his principal to inspect the countries’ refineries. The newspaper says Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has accused Peter Odili, former governor of Rivers, of encouraging Siminalayi Fubara, the incumbent governor, to disobey President Bola Tinubu.
