Newspaper Headlines: Obasa’s removal divides APC as factions battle for control

Reports on reduction in the ex-depot price of petrol by Dangote refinery, and the controversy trailing the 50 percent tariff hike by telecommunication companies, continue to suffuse the frontpages. 

The Punch reports that the reduction in the ex-depot price of petrol by Dangote refinery could lead to losses for some marketers, particularly those who had already imported petrol prior to the price cut announcement. The newspaper says the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has intensified surveillance at the country’s points of entry, including airports, following the confirmation of an Ebola virus disease outbreak in Uganda.
