Newspaper Headlines: Oil marketers demand N850/litre for diesel, to meet Dangote

Reports on reactions trailing the Lagos-Calabar coastal road project dominate the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports the presidency as saying that the concerted efforts of Yemi Cardoso, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), geared towards the stability of the naira, aligns with the vision of President Bola Tinubu. The newspaper says David Umahi, minister of works, said the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project is not wasteful.
Daily Trust reports that Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election, has asked Tinubu to disclose the cost of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project. The newspaper says at least 1,000 people have been rendered homeless, following a rainstorm in Iyara community of Ijumu LGA, Kogi state.
