Newspaper Headlines: Panic in FCT, Kwara, Ekiti as 200 inmates escape from Kogi prison

The attack on Kabba Correctional Centre in Kogi state by gunmen which led to the escape of over 200 inmates dominated the headlines of Nigerian newspaper.

The Punch says the military onslaught in Zamfara state has made dislodged bandits to flee southwards. The newspaper reports that four people died and 166 houses were destroyed in Abuja estate flood.
The Nigerian Tribune says the federal government has alerted the International Criminal Organisation (Interpol) over the escape of 266 inmates from Kabba prison, Kogi. The newspaper reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rescheduled its state congress for October 2.
