Newspaper Headlines: Parties must disclose sources of campaign funds, says Mahmood Yakubu

The national dailies are inundated with reports of the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the main opposition party in Nigeria.

The Sun says PDP BoT is set to meet Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the PDP, and Nyesom Wike, Rivers governor, this week. The newspaper reports that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited acquires downstream assets of OVH energy.
Sunday Independent reports that Ifeanyi Okowa, the vice presidential candidate of the PDP, says Wike and Seyi Makinde, Oyo governor, will work for the party. The newspaper says Wike asked the supreme court to speed up the hearing on VAT suit.
Daily Trust reports that Mahmood Yakubu, INEC chairman, says parties must disclose sources of campaign funds. The newspaper says Kano farmers groan as dam water washes away farmlands.
