Newspaper Headlines: PDP postpones NEC meeting as n’central insists on chairmanship position

The Punch reports that the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has suspended Mamman Osuman, its chairman, after the group criticised the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu. The newspaper says the north-central caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has opposed the indefinite postponement of the party’s 99th national executive committee meeting (NEC) initially slated for November 28.
Daily Trust reports that the national economic council (NEC) has set up an electrification committee to address the challenges in the power sector. The newspaper says the house of representatives has rejected the second reading of a bill which sought a single six-year term for presidents and governors.
